Battery Researcher

Avesta Battery & Energy Engineering (ABEE) offers an exciting job opportunity in battery research & development. We seek a Battery Researcher to work in our R&D team to help us bring ABEE battery cell technology to the next level. The R&D team at ABEE focuses on research & development of next-generation battery technologies, cell prototyping, testing, and post-mortem characterization of battery cells.

What you’ll do at ABEE

• Literature and patent search to stay up to date
• Fabrication and optimization of batteries at lab scale
• Testing electrochemical, chemical, and physical properties of novel battery materials
• Work on the root cause analysis of battery failures
• Collaborate closely with other team members to develop core technologies
• Preparation of technical reports and presentations
• Transfer of knowledge of next-generation battery technology from the lab to the prototyping team

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field
• Prior knowledge in the development of Li-ion batteries, including electrode preparation, cell assembly, and testing
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and organizational skills
• Communicative skills in an interdisciplinary and international work environment
