Job description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer –Cell Prototyping to join our team at Avesta Battery and Energy Engineering. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading efforts to mature ABEE’s proprietary technology and advance it to a higher Technology Readiness Level (TRL). You will collaborate closely with technical experts and executive management to define the technical direction and facilitate effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do at ABEE
- Lead the development of cell prototypes, including cathodes, anodes, and electrolyte materials and components
- Develop and implement manufacturing methods and equipment to meet stakeholder needs
- Upscale proprietary battery cell technology production to a MWh-level
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery technology and manufacturing
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field
- 10 years of experience in batteries, with 5+ years of experience in battery cell manufacturing
- Strong understanding of battery chemistry, cell design, and manufacturing
- Previous experience leading product development
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and organizational skills
- Experience with multicultural environments
