Job description

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Technician – Battery Cell Coating to join our team at Avesta Battery and Energy Engineering. As a key member of our prototyping team, you will support battery electrode slurry preparation and coating activities on the prototyping line. You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll do at ABEE

• Operation of powder and slurry mixing equipment
• Operation a coating prototyping line to fabricate battery anodes, cathodes, and electrolytes
• Handling of chemicals, nanomaterials, and powders using appropriate health and safety protection measures
• Performing quality control testing of electrodes, including visual, microscopic, and mechanical inspections to identify defective electrodes
• Monitor equipment operation to ensure the highest quality of products is maintained
• Data documentation and analysis

Required Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in battery cell manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of slurry flow and how electrode properties affect the final battery cell performance.
• Strong background in fluid mechanics
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and organizational skills
• Experience with multicultural environments
