OUR Facilities

ABEE is supporting the industries in the development of tailored made solutions from battery materials to recycling for automotive and stationary applications through the development of dedicated multiscale simulation tools and functions integrated in various platforms.

Brussels, July 2nd, 2020. Avesta Battery and Energy Engineering (ABEE) has now entered an MoU with Center for SMART Energy Platform (CSTEP) and Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion Laboratory (EESC) at Kung Hee University (KHU). An agreement was reached between the CEO of ABEE, Prof. Dr. Noshin Omar and the Director of the lab, Prof. Dr. Chang Woo Lee to collaborate in the field of energy storage for material selection and upscaling activities.

Prof. Noshin Omar, CEO of ABEE, commented: “The joint forces of KHU and ABEE will benefit both the parties to fast track crucial research activities and decrease the time required to place specific products in the market.”

The research team in CSTEP/EESC has been testing batteries for more than a decade, in both mobile and stationary applications, with special dedication to Na, Zn, and Li technologies. CSTEP/EESC has well-established infrastructure and facilities for physical, chemical and electrochemical characterization of materials used in energy storage devices.
