EU projects Financial Manager

In order to sustain our rapid growth and scale our operations to the next level, we are looking for a highly motivated project Financial Manager for the financial management of the broad portfolio of EU-funded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Contributing to the overall project administration and finance in compliance with the granting authority ruling;
• Monitoring and optimization of the budget allocation and consumption during the whole lifecycle of the project, from approval to implementation and completion;
• Detecting budget problems in time and providing the right solutions;
• Assisting the project manager in coordinating the financial and administrative side of the project;
• Reviewing projects administrative and financial documentation (Consortium and Partnership Agreements, Grant Agreements/Amendments, partners financial documentation);
• Preparing and submitting financial and internal reports;
• Gathering and preparing all the necessary documents for audit;
• Improving internal financial processes and tools;
• Contributing to the financial and administrative preparations of project proposals and tenders.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the administration and finance of EU funded projects (Horizon)
• Good experience with Microsoft Office
• Good level of English
• Good knowledge of European funding programmes and rules
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Problem-solving attitude and initiative

What we offer

• Permanent contract full time position (38hrs/week)
• The selected candidate will need to either live in Belgium or be willing to move to Belgium for the duration of the contract
